Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez is fascinated by the prospect of playing for Serie A champions Juventus, as reported by Skysports, the Italian version.
Juve are in constant touch with Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Feliceivich, and have already held talks about the chance of making him one of their summer signings.
They tried to sign the 27-year-old before he joined Barcelona and made a fresh attempt before he opted to move to North London. And according to their former star Mauro Camoranesi, Alexis would be an ideal signing for Juventus.
The Ex-Juve midfielder told Goal.com that Sanchez could be the perfect for replacement for Alvaro Morata, who has been linked with a move back to his former club Real Madrid. Morata left the Santiago Bernebeu for Juventus last summer, but is expected to move back by the Champions League winners during the current transfer window.
“Juve will lose what they were looking for, a goalscorer, a versatile player who has definition, speed,” Camornesi added.
“When he arrived Juventus knew he was a high-quality player. In Italy it proved it because he re-emerged after not having continuity at Real Madrid. Those who love Juventus like me wanted him to stay because he has performed very well.
“By not being a worldwide star, I don’t think he will get constant games [at Madrid]. Morata is not one of these media celebrities; he is a great player but will probably play fewer minutes than he did at Juventus.”
Sanchez has played in Serie A before – the Chile international starring for Udinese during a four-year spell in Italy’s top flight.
Now, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger doesn’t want to sell one of his most important players but preliminary talks have been held between the Frenchman and Felicevich.
However, reports in Chile have claimed that it all depends on what the player wants. The Copa America winner will meet the Arsenal boss next month and will then take a decision on his future.
