With the signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal certainly have solved their defensive midfield problems but we continue to get linked with midfielders in that role. However, one player we won’t be signing this summer is Grzegorz Krychowiak as the player is off to France. The player was thought to be on his way to Arsenal last summer with the best online casinos sites claiming the player was odds on on joining Arsenal.
The president of La liga side Sevilla Jose Maria del Nido has confirmed that Arsenal target Grzegorz Krychowiak is set to join Paris Saint-Germain but the agreed fee is less than his €45 million release clause.
The Arsenal target has been a star for Spanish side Sevilla over the past few years, remaining a key part of their team that won the Europa League three seasons in a row, becoming the first club ever to do so.
The midfielder has been linked with a move to the Emirate stadium in the past 1 year but it seems Arsenal will not secure his signature as it looks certain that he’s headed to the French Ligue 1. This is a good move by Arsenal not to sign him because the player is no longer needed by the Emirate club.
According to Del Nido new PSG new manager, Unai Emery, knows very well about the Poland international defensive midfielder’s talents and has agreed a fee with Sevilla for his transfer.
“It is true that negotiations with PSG to sell Krychowiak but nothing is done,” Del Nido said to reporters in a press conference.
We do not talk about figures, but we will say if it will be for a significant amount of money.
“We will be stronger in the possibility of having to not sell to other players, unless they come with clauses. And there is Gameiro. We may hold more important players. We closed our budget, beyond that there may be an injection for possible additions.
“We want to keep the spine that has made us the Europa League champions, runners-up in the Copa del Rey finalists and the European Super Cups and Spain.”
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder made 26 appearances for Sevilla this season, completing 84% of his passes and winning 57% of his duels.
Of the 103 tackles he attempted the Poland international won 47 while he won 70% of his headed duels, winning 74 of his attempted 105.
