Arsenal not only ensure they bring in quality players that will help ensure the club have a good chance of winning the league next season but they also have to ensure key players are not lost.
Unfortunately, European giants Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona are believed to be monitoring the situation of Arsenal defender Héctor Bellérin ahead of a potential summer move, according to German website Spox.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have identified Bellerin as a perfect replacement for the ageing Philipp Lahm who is now 32-year-old, while Spanish La Liga champions FC Barcelona are looking to add quality after veteran Brazilian star Dani Alves left the Spanish club. Alves has since joined Juventus on free transfer.
Lahm was moved between the full-back and defensive midfield under former Barcelona manager, Pep Guardiola, along with Austria international who is a Nigerian descent David Alaba.
The Bundesliga champions need to move quickly to sign a perfect acquire a replacement in that position, with former German international defender Lahm turning 33 in November.
The Spain international full-back played 36 games in the colours of Arsenal last season, and featured in their 2-0 group stage win over Guardiola tutored Bayern Munich last season in the Uefa champion’s league. The defender however missed the second leg fixture in Munich where Arsenal were beaten.
Bayern Munich under former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti will have to cough in excess of £15million for 21-year-old full-back if they chooses to bid.
