If you believe reports from both the Italian and British media today, Arsenal are on the verge of completing a deal that will bring one of the best defenders in the Italian league to the Emirates.
Arsenal’s defence was porous in the last campaign which ensured the north London club conceded the Premier League title to Leicester City but it appears Arsene Wenger is ready to make amends by bringing in a quality centre.
According to Sky Italia, the Gunners are said to be one of the clubs who have made an enquiry to Inter Milan about the availability of Jeison Murillo. The Italian are said to be willing to sell but only if a bid of €18.5 million is made for the services of the Colombia. An amount some section of the Italian media claim Arsenal is willing to pay.
However, Arsenal are yet to come to an official agreement with Inter but the Colombian international has reportedly spoken to representatives from the club about a deal. The terms of a 5 years contract is said to have been agreed upon between ARsenal and Murillo whic means all that’s left is for both Arsenal and the player’s club to come to an agreement on a transfer fee.
The 24-year-old Colombian who has just returned from international duty with Colombia alongside the Gunners goalkeeper David Ospina, has four years remaining on his contract with Inter. Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly to be tracking the Colombian defender.
