GOOD NEWS: Arsenal lining-up £25m defensive rock to partner Koscielny

The Italian giants are willing to let the World Cup winner leave the Spanish outfit for a low price as they look to balance their books.

The Former Everton defender Shkodran Mustafi has highly impressed and developed in a solid defender after his move from Goodison Park in 2012.

After one-year spell at Sampdoria, the German international joined Valencia where has improved greatly. He was impressive for an otherwise uninspiring La Liga side in the past season.

Mustafi according to Whoscored.com has registered 4.4 interceptions, 5 clearances, and 0.7 blocks per game for Valencia in his 28 appearances.

Mustafi also made three appearances for Die Mannschaft at the European Championships during their run to the semi-final.

The 24-year-old has attracted the interest of Chelsea manager Antonio and Arsenal seems to be moving ahead of the west London club in hijacking the deal.

Report has it that a transfer fee of £25 million, which would definitely suit the economical spending habits of Arsenal, could tempt the La Liga giants to sell the German World cup winner.
