The Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has made it clear that much-needed additions will be brought in to the Emirates this summer, but the question trending among the fans now is, could one of his signings be Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez…?
Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of signing the Leicester City winger Mahrez according to various media reports.
The Algerian playmaker has been strongly linked with a potential move with the Gunners all summer and now it appears that the French boss is close to getting the highly rated player.
According Eurosport citing reports from Metro, said the Algerian has already agreed to join the north London club this summer. Same reports also claims, the Foxes are trying all their possible best to get the playmaker convinced to stay at the club but Mahrez’s mind remains unchanged and will likely accept Arsenal €50m bid offer
The Gunners are believed to be interested on Mahrez as the Emirates outfits’ manager attempts to strengthen the squad this season; it is believed the 66-year-old tactician wants a word-class attacking midfield ahead of the upcoming season.
The Algerin however, proved to be one the league’s best performers in the last campaign and the playmaker bagged the PFA player of the year award in the process.
La Liga champions, Barcelona have also been linked with the Leicester midfielder but they have reportedly lose their interest in the Algeria international.
Mahrez netted 17 goals and created 11 assists last term as he helped Foxes clinch their first ever Premier League title.
If the move for the midfielder could be completed, I believe it would spell the end of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain’s.
