The north London club have been in pursuit of an highly-rated superstar after they have failed woefully to secure the acquisition of Leicester City superstar Jamie Vardy and newly signed Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain.
The President of the French club Olympique Lyonnais has revealed the status of Premier League giants Arsenal proposed move for Alexander Lacazette.
According to trending rumours, it suggested that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was close to getting the deal done with Lyon over a transfer fee for Lacazette.
However, the club officially released a report earlier this week, stating our bid for Lacazette had been rejected for being insufficient as the club asking price for the forward is between the ranges of €40m.
Following reports this week have claimed that the Gunners boss is set to meet the Ligue 1 giant’s asking price of €40m, which deal, could be completed in coming days.
However, the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas has now confirmed that we are yet to submit a second offer for Lacazette – according to rumours.
Speaking to L’Equipe as quoted by International Business Times, the club president said, “Arsenal have not come back [with another offer] and they will not come back.”
“No one will leave Lyon, except for Rachid Ghezzal if he has an offer, which I doubt.”
