The Premier League champions have just confirmed the signing of another important player this morning who is tipped to be a replacement to Riyad Mahrez.
Leicester City has confirmed that Bartosz Kapustka has joined the club on a five-year deal from Polish outfit Cracovia. The Polish international is believed to have cost the Foxes under £8million.
The message on the Foxes official website read as follows:
“Leicester City Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Poland winger Bartosz Kapustka, subject to FA, Premier League and international clearance.”
“Kapustka will wear the no.14 shirt and becomes the Foxes’ fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Luis Hernandez, Ron-Robert Zieler, Papy Mendy and Ahmed Musa. “
However, it is believed that, the outcome of the player move to the Kings Power stadium will be as a replacement to to the 25-year-old Algerian international who will be off to Arsenal before the end of the summer.
The 19-year-old is a perfect selection for Mahrez replacement who cannot only play as a midfielder but has well as playing as a winger and would fill the void left by Mahrez’s should he finally completes his move to the Emirates stadium.
More interestingly about this news is that, the Leicester signing of Kapustka just happens to be the same like the former Leicester player N’Golo Kante who before he finally made his move to Chelsea, the Foxes signed Nampalys Mendy from Nice FC for a club-record £13 million
Joining the Kings Power outfits also meant that Mendy is reunited with his former manager during his time at Monaco, Claudio Ranieri
