It’s been a relatively busy summer in the transfer market thus far for Arsenal, and it now appears to be more busier in the last month before the deadline.
Reports according to Italian media Corriere dello Sporto (via the Daily Sun), Inter Milan have submitted an offer of £42million bid for Arsenal and Chelsea target Edinson Cavani.
However, the Italian news outlet claims that Paris Saint-Germain have rejected the Nerazzurri bid for the Uruguayan forward meaning the club are hoping to rely heavily on Cavani with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s recent move to Manchester United.
However, Inter are lining up another move and are desperate to bring in Cavani to San Siro as they come to accept that Mauro Icardi wants a move either Arsenal or Napoli. The Naples are flush with cast after banking £75m from the sale of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus.
Time will tell if Arsenal will be able to sign the Argentinian as the Nerazzurri manager’s waiting to get a response from the club’s chief whether the club will be sanctioning deals for their top targets. The club are reportedly keeping close target on Juve and Barcelona target Gabriel ‘Gabigol‘ Barbosa .
If Icardi does end up at the Emirates stadium or possibly anywhere, the Italian giants will be flushing in cash to make an improved for the Les Parisian forward.
