Arsenal have been handed a potential transfer boost with the news that Wolfsburg would now accept as little as £25million for Julian Draxler this January.
The Gunners are known to be long-time admirers of the Germany international, who was keen to force a move to a bigger club before the end of the most recent transfer window in the summer.
Draxler recently found himself dropped by Wolfsburg, who are understood to have been weighing up their stance on the player for some time now.
According to latest reports in Le Parisien, the Bundesliga giants have slashed their asking price for the 23-year-old from £63million to just £25million as they look to get him off their books after a recent slump in form.
Still, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus may be showing a stronger interest in Draxler at the moment, so it remains to be seen if Arsenal will pounce on this opportunity this January.
Arsene Wenger has long looked in need of attacking reinforcements, but will have been pleasantly surprised by the form of players such as Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this season.
