Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsenal have their eye on Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus if they are forced to sell either of Alexis Sanchez or Mesut Ozil.
The Telegraph report that Arsenal continue to be concerned over the future of the pair, who are yet to sign extensions on their deals which expire in 2018.
Reus, 27, is a key part of Dortmund’s attack but like Arsenal in recent years, the German side have shown they will cash in on their top stars at the right price.
Injuries have blighted Reus’ career in recent seasons, and this campaign he has only made three Bundesliga starts.
He has shown his quality since his return, scoring two goals and providing three assists in three matches, before being sent off this past weekend.
If Arsenal were to lose Sanchez then they could not look for a better replacement than Reus, although his history of injuries, which have caused him to miss consecutive international tournaments, should be a red flag.
Gooners will hope the situation with Sanchez and Ozil does not come to the point where replacements are needed, but it is perhaps concerning that the club are at the stage where news of their back-up plans is being leaked to the media.
