Arsenal Beat Juventus With £30million Bid For Draxler, Player Wants Deal Done ASAP

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Arsenal have been given a boost in the chase for Julian Draxler with reports that Juventus have dropped out of the race to sign the Wolfsburg man.

Draxler looks destined to leave the Bundesliga side either in January or the summer after falling out with the club, being dropped from the side and having been booed by his own fans.

Arsenal, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have all been heavily linked with a move for Draxler but the Italian champions are no longer interested, according to Calcio Mercato.

The report claims that while Draxler has been offered to Juve, the club have decided not to negotiate with Wolfsburg.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side are on excellent terms with Wolfsburg and do not want to compromise that relationship and are also not keen to sign a player who has already rejected a move to Turin.

Juventus wanted to sign Draxler back in 2015 and held talks with the player who eventually opted to leave Schalke move to Wolfsburg instead.

The move has turned out to be something of a disaster for Draxler who insisted in the summer he wanted to quit the club but was refused a move.

Wolfsburg’s stance has subsequently changed with the club enduring a miserable season, just a point off the bottom three, and with Draxler having failed to shine.

While Juve appear to no longer be interested, PSG are believed to be hot favourites to sign Draxler although Arsenal are reportedly set to bid £30m in January.

Arsene Wenger has refused to reveal his plans for the transfer window although club secretary David Miles has claimed the boss is looking to strengthen this winter.
