Arsenal FC team news: Mesut Ozil Out ! – Arsenal’s 4-2-3-1 Starting XI vs Liverpool

Arsene Wenger will have a decision to make on Mesut Ozil ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool.

The German playmaker was reportedly sent home from training in midweek after illness and ordered to rest. Wenger says the 28-year-old ‘should be okay’ and the Gunners boss must decide whether to start Ozil at Anfield.

If he opts to leave the former Real Madrid man on the bench, Aaron Ramsey is available again.

The Welshman has been missing for the last four games with a calf problem but is now in the running to start, as is Laurent Koscielny, who missed the FA Cup win over Sutton with a thigh injury suffered in the 5-1 defeat at Bayern Munich.

Wenger also said forward Danny Welbeck is in contention to start after returning from a long-term injury but the Arsenal boss admits he has to be careful with integrating the former Manchester United man back in.

Santi Cazorla [Achilles] is a long-term absentee while fellow midfielder Mohamed Elneny [ankle] is expected to be out for three weeks.
