Arsenal agrees deal! Medicals on Friday, Fullback officially becomes a Gunner

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

According to recent reports, Arsenal are looking forward to signing Monaco full back Djibril Sidibe who seem to have made a name for himself in the footballing world.

The Daily Star report that Arsenal wishes to beat all competition from clubs like Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur who are also targeting the Frenchman.

There were reports last summer of Arsenal closing in on the completion of a deal with Sidibe from Lille, but the full back chose to move to Monaco instead.

Now, after lifting the Ligue 1 title and reaching the semi-finals in the Champions League, Sidibe is one of several Monaco players who have attracted lots of attention from many clubs across Europe.

Sidibe is a versatile player who can play as a right and left back and would put Bellerin to the chase for a spot on the first team.

However, with Arsenal potentially playing with wing-backs next season and with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain playing more consistently there, it seems doubtful there will be any need for another full backs at the club.

This seems like the kind of rumor that would become an established truth should Bellerin decide to leave the club this summer.
