Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
After links with Arsenal, Manchester United, PSG, Bayern Munich and others, Liverpool are now on the queue of clubs wanting to sign James Rodriguez.
The Colombian forward could likely be moving out of Real Madrid in the summer after being removed from their Champions League team and has been linked with several European clubs.
Spanish publication Don Balon claims Liverpool are ready to meet the required price tag of £52million required to sign him.
In a contrary report, Spanish television show El Chiringuito suggests that Arsenal are the front runners in the race to land his signature. Meanwhile, another report in the Metro claims that Manchester United will likely be the lucky ones to sign him.
The move seem a bit impossible for Liverpool, with the Reds negotiating with Mohamed Salah, the Reds could try to sign another front-man should Daniel Sturridge leave this summer.
However, the report further claimed that the Reds may find it difficult to convince Rodriguez should they proceed with their plan to offer for him, with reports suggesting the Former Monaco man would want to consider all options available to him before he considers any offer from Liverpool.
But with 25-year-old Rodriguez is seemingly no longer wanted at Real, the player may be forced to re-think his options as he prepares for the next chapter in his career.
