Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
According to reports in Chile, Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has agreed to a move to Manchester City, but the Gunners want him to move elsewhere.
The 28-year-old was a huge part of Arsenal last campaign, picking up 30 goals and providing 19 assists in 51 appearances for the club in a miserable season which ended on a high with the FA Cup win against Premier League champions Chelsea.
However, with just one more season left before his contract expires, rumors have abounded about his future and whether or not he would choose to stay at the Emirates this summer.
Arsenal will want to avoid losing him on a free next summer and so they could be willing to let him go, but according to The Sun, they will not be glad with the recent news emerging from Chile that Sanchez has completed a move to Manchester City.
The news has been making rounds circulated by highly regarded Chilean journalist Fernando Solabarrieta, which is the biggest indication so far that City manager Pep Guardiola could be planning a swoop for Sanchez. Without a doubt, Guardiola will like to have a player of Sanchez’s quality among the ranks at the White Hart Lane next season.
The Sun further stated that Arsenal have denied no such deal has been agreed upon for Sanchez, while it suggested that if they are forced to cash in on their talisman, the north London would not sell him to a Premier League rival.
As reported by the Evening Standard, Sanchez is being offered £350,000 per week by Bayern Munich along with a deal of £40 million, and so the German champions will surely be a better option if it so happens that Arsenal have no option but to sell him.
