Arsenal are leading in the race to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the latest betting odds.

The France international recently ended his season on a high recording a total of 37 goals across all competitions Bruno Génésio’s side.

Lyon finished the season in the top four of the Ligue 1, with Lacazette picking up a whopping 28 goals in 30 league appearances.

He has also proven to be good in front of goal in Europe by netting seven times during 12 appearances in the Champions League and the Europa League.

Lacazette has two years left till the end of his current deal and has only played for Lyon during his career, scoring 129 goals from his 275 matches.

Arsenal recently concluded their campaign by finishing outside of the top four in a most disappointing campaign in the Premier League.

However, they did win the FA Cup in May when they defeated the English Premier League champions Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley Stadium with Alexis Sanchez and Aaron Ramsey getting on the scoresheet.

Chile international Sanchez was Arsenal’s top marksmen this term, scoring 30 goals and providing 19 assists across all competitions.
