Arsenal will have to allow Olivier Giroud pen a deal for Lyon if they want to buy striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer, according to reports emerging from France.
French outlet Le10Sport, as cited by the Sun, reported that Lyon are willing to cash in on Arsenal’s interest in the 26-year-old forward this summer but want Giroud given to them as part of the deal.
The report stated that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has voiced his terms for the proposed transfer and wants to exchange the French forward Giroud for their player.
Lacazette is reported to have been close to signing for Atletico Madrid this summer but the Spanish club’s transfer ban dashed the opportunity to the wall this year.
Now, Arsenal are said to be ready to capitalize fully on Atletico’s situation, but the Gunners could have to sell Giroud as part of the deal.
