4-Year Deal Signed As Player Agrees On A Move To Arsenal

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Riyad Mahrez is reportedly set to let go of his dream of playing for Barcelona and instead wants to sign for Arsenal this summer.

According to Spanish publication Sport, the Leicester City man tired of holding out for a offer from the Blaugrana and could now be on his way to the Emirates.

The newspaper claim he has been approached with a four-year deal from the club, which he is putting into serious consideration.

Barca had reportedly been interested in Mahrez, but their priorities this summer shifted to a central midfielder and a right-back.

As such the club will only search for a winger, once they have found a long-term solution to the crisis in the other areas of their squad, with the club heavily linked with Marco Verratti, Hector Bellerin and Nelson Semendo.

Wenger has recently admitted he is a big fan of Mahrez, although he did insist the club had not made an offer “yet” for the Leicester City star.

Mahrez has already made known his  intention to leave the King Power Stadium this summer, and certainly looks to be a man on the move.

He has admitted he was happy to hear of interest from Wenger recently and does appear to be interested in a move to the Emirates.

Is this a deal that the club can achieve? Well, it certainly looks promising with the move prominent on the mind of both Wenger and Mahrez.
