Arsenal has been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of Thomas Lemar as the player’s father wants him to stay in France.
Lemar reportedly informed Arsenal he will like to join them at the Emirates and work under Arsene Wenger. However, the player’s father thinks Lemar would grow better I Monaco, reports Football.London.
The Monaco winger’s entourage is of the opinion that he has more chances of participating in next summer’s World Cup if he remained at the Stade Louis II, where he’d be a regular starter.
Arsenal had a £30m bid rejected by Monaco and are expected to come back with a better offer as they are confident the player wants to sign for them. But that could change if the people advising Lemar believe he’ll be better off rejecting offers this summer.
