Arsenal look ready for a busy time in the transfer window this summer as reports suggest two big targets are close to sealing a move to the Emirates Stadium next week.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato reports that the Gunners are set to sign Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, with the reports claiming a completed deal for the Algerian ace will be announced imminently.
Mahrez was a big part of Leicester City’s 2015-16 campaign which saw them claim the league title and went on to astound in the Champions League last season, where the Foxes stood as British football’s final side in Europe’s Elite tournament.
However, the 26-year-old has requested for an exit this summer and Leicester has given granted his request – and Arsenal are set to seal a move for the talented winger after having had him on their radar for some years now, as part of an impressive double signing.
The Gunners have already secured Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke and are closing in on a club-record move for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, which means Mahrez would be the cherry on the cake in what promises to be an incredible summer.
