Arsenal have submitted an offer for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Aymen Barkok, according to reports coming from Germany.
The 19-year-old is currently playing in the Germany national team at the European Under-19 Championship and Spox claims that the Gunners made an offer below €10 million (£8.8m).
The report also claims that Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on Barkok’s progress for a while now and even made a move for the midfielder last summer.
Barkok made played 19 games for Frankfurt last season, finding the net twice and providing two assists.
Spox also claim that Barkok has drawn the attention of several clubs in the Bundesliga following his impressive performances in the recently concluded season.
Barkok, who only made his first appearance in November, still has three years left on his contract with Frankfurt.
