Done – Arsenal New Bid For Lemar Accepted

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Arsenal are reportedly willing to pay up to £50m on Monaco winger, Thomas Lemar.

After having submitted a bid of £31m and £35m which was rejected to Monaco this month, Arsenal are reportedly preparing to make another offer of £45m for Lemar, which could even be raised to £50 with additional payments, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners are said to be hoping their purchase of Alexandre Lacazette, Lemar’s compatriot and friend, could help convince the 21-year-old on a move to Arsenal.

After Leicester City increased Riyad Mahrez’s price tag up from £35m to £50m seemingly overnight, Arsenal have directed their attention fully to Lemar.

Arsene Wenger seem intent on signing the France international, who found the back of the net 14 times and provided 17 assists last season.

Lemar’s contract with Monaco is still valid for another three years and the Ligue 1 club are understandably reluctant to release the talented player considering Bernardo Silva has moved to Manchester City, Tiemoue Bakayoko looks set to move to Chelsea, and Kylian Mbappe is a man in demand.
