Arsenal transfer target Thomas Lemar is persuading Monaco to let him leave for Arsenal this summer with his agent regularly meeting with the club.
The 21-year-old has become a top target for Arsene Wenger in what has been a usy transfer window for the Gunners so far, with Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette already signed.
Lemar’s fine form in Ligue 1 in the previous season has also seen him targeted by the likes of Chelsea and Juventus, but Arsenal are the frontrunners in the race to sign the deal.
According to the Daily Mirror, Lemar may be doing his bit to force the move with his entourage applying some pressure to Monaco to let him get his desired move to the Premier League.
Arsenal are said to be willing to offer the France international a five-year contract with wages of around £100,000 per week as they continue their spending spree this summer.
Lacazette has already joined in a club-record move of around £52million, and Lemar could end up costing a similar amount as Wenger looks prepared to cough up over £45m after already seeing two bids rejected for the winger.
With Arsenal unsure of the futures of key attacking players Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lemar could be the one to ring a solution to the team next season.
Lemar himself has previously hinted he wants to work alongside fellow Frenchman Lacazette at the Emirates Stadium after ‘liking’ his Instagram post posing with the club’s kit.
