The Portuguese press (O Jogo) are suggesting Arsenal are preparing to make a double swoop for Clube de Portugal players – 28-year-old central midfielder Adrien Silva and 26-year-old William Carvalho.
Both play for the Portuguese national team, Silva has 20 full international caps scoring 1 goal in the Confederations Cup third-place play-off last month. Ten of his full international caps have been in friendlies.
WBA, Everton, Leicester City and West Ham United are said to also be on his trail, WBA having had two offers rejected. Silva is contracted until 2020 with a further year option.
