The 24-year-old’s current deal expires in 2018 and player was said to be available on the transfer market for £26million.
Luan looked ready to move to Spartak Moscow after the Russian side made a £18m offer.
But the deal has now fallen through and Brazilian outlet Zero Hora say Arsenal and Liverpool are ready to make an offer for the striker.
Both Premier League clubs are actively searching the transfer market in search of quality player to sign before the transfer window slams shut.y at the Emirates?
But Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted the players need to leave before they strengthen their squad.
He said: “The number (in the squad) is too high.
“We will let some players go.
“Too much competition for places is detrimental, but not enough competition for places is detrimental as well.”
Luan has made one appearance for the Brazilian national team and is expected to be called up for Brazil’s World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Colombia later this month.
