Arsenal is poisonous – Top Target warned against signing for Arsenal

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has sent a sound warning to Leicester City player Riyad Mahrez over joining the Gunners in their current state.

Arsene Wenger are in a deep crisis at the moment as both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil’s contracts are set to expire in the summer and they could be bidding the club goodbye imminently.

The Guardian claim Manchester City are ready to sign Sanchez for £20million, while the independent suggest his move to the Etihad Stadium could be completed this week.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror recently claimed Manchester United could also try to make an offer for Ozil this January before he becomes available as a free agent in the summer.

Mahrez has shone for Leicester and could be an ideal signing for Arsenal right now, but Wright believes that the Sanchez and Ozil situations could make it a big challenge for the Algerian to come in and do a job for Wenger’s side.

‘Arsenal are in a position now where someone like Mahrez has to go there and really pull up trees to get them back to a position where they should be,’ Wright was quoted in the Mirror.

‘What help would Mahrez have? They’re looking at two unbelievable players who might walk out of the club.’

The 26-year-old could perhaps do well to follow Wright’s advice and take in his words on the state of things at Arsenal if he is to choose between them and Liverpool.
