Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Premier League giants, Arsenal have once again been linked with a move for Napoli midfielder Jorginho.
The North London might soon be in need of a new midfielder this summer with Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla’s contracts expiring at the end of the season and no new deal in place yet for them, Jorginho would be a great option for the team as he plays in a deep role.
The Italian international’s agent Joao Santos revealed in March that the player might leave San Paolo in the summer.
The transfers at Arsenal seems to have been taken over by the new recruitment team at the club with the likes of Sven Mislintat and Huss Fahmy having already begun to show their involvement with the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Dortmund in January.
Arsene Wenger has already admitted that he is no longer part of contract negotiations. The news doesn’t look good for Jack Wilshere’s contract situation, and it also confirms the fact that Jorginho’s deal will be handled by the new recruitment team.
Jorginho moved to Napoli from Verona in 2014 and has made 126 league appearances for the club, he has been described as the “perfect midfielder” by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
