Deal Agreed! Arsenal completes €20m deal for Bundesliga defender

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Borussia Dortmund is preparing to test Mainz’s no-sale stance on Arsenal target Abdou Diallo.
The defender put up an impressive display in the Bundesliga this season and Mainz knows he has become a top target for several clubs.
Arsenal has been rumored with an interest in Diallo, but Mainz has reiterated their stance of not selling the player that only joined them from Monaco last year.
But as per a report from German daily Bild, Dortmund are ready to put Mainz’s resolve to test by submitting a bid for Diallo.
The Ruhr giants believe they may lose Sokratis Papastathopoulos to Arsenal after he refused to sign an extension.
Dortmund expects to be paid €20m if they sell Sokratis and are prepared to spend the money to acquire Diallo.
Mainz bought Diallo for €5m from Monaca last summer and tied him down to a five-year contract at the club.
It remains to be seen whether Mainz can turn down the opportunity to make a quick profit on the defender.
