Arsenal have started the 2020-21 Premier League season with a convincing 3-0 thrashing of Fulham at Craven Cottage this afternoon.
Although Bernd Leno was forced into a vital save in the opening minutes following miscommunication with Gabriel Magalhaes, we controlled the game thereafter.
Alexandre Lacazette opened the scoring from close range inside eight minutes after Fulham goalkeeper Marek Rodak couldn’t knick the ball from Willian’s feet.
The Brazilian debutant struck the outside of a central free kick in the first half before making his first appearance for the Gunners memorable after the break.
Willian provided the corner which Gabriel headed home from the middle of the six-yard box within four minutes of the restart, and then provided the chipped through ball to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who did the rest to make it 3-0 just before the hour.
The Gabon forward cut inside from the left and fired into the far top corner to give the Slovakian goalkeeper no chance.
Aubameyang later had a chance cleared off the line whilst Granit Xhaka had earlier blazed a decent chance over.
