[Video] Nicolas Pepe red card in Leeds draw

Nicolas Pepe was sent off five minutes into the second half as Arsenal were held 0-0 at Leeds United on Sunday afternoon.

We headed into the game off the back of the international break after losing 0-3 at home to Aston Villa a fortnight ago, whilst Leeds United had lost back-to-back games by a 1-4 scoreline.

Leeds had been the better team in the first half and but for a fine save from Bernd Leno and the hosts dragging two excellent chances wide, we could easily have been behind.

Five minutes after the break, Nicolas Pepe got into a shoving match with Ezgjan Alioski before the Ivory Coast international headbutted the opponent.

Joe Willock was the player sacrificed for Bukayo Saka as we played a more defensive game for the final 40 minutes, narrowly hanging on for a point.

This moves us up to 11th ahead of Wolverhampton Wanderers hosting Southampton on Monday night. We are ahead of Nuno’s side on goal difference, whilst we are one point above Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
