It has been claimed that the French striker and Mikel Arteta have fallen out in the dressing room and do not share a mutual bond with each other.
This has led to suggestions that Lacazette’s future could be away from the Emirates Stadium as he does not appear to be a part of his boss’ long-term plans.
Indeed, if he were to move on, it would have to be either this month or in the summer, as his contract expires in 2022. This means he would be free to speak to other clubs abroad on a free transfer in around a year’s time; something Arsenal will want to avoid happening.
Rumours about Lacazette’s future will have only further intensified in recent weeks, as Arteta has left him out of the starting XI as he has seemingly appeared to have fallen down the pecking order with youngsters such as Emile Smith-Rowe and Bukayo Saka playing alongside the Gunners’ captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
