Arsenal player rejects contract and set to leave for free

Arsenal appear set to lose one of the Hale End Academy graduates this summer as a new contract was turned down almost immediately.

It has been reported by The Athletic that Eddie Nketiah has told the Gunners that he will be leaving the club at the end of his present deal and has rejected the newest deal that was put in front of him to try and commit his future to the club.

The report claims that he was provided with the contract extension on Tuesday, but on Wednesday had informed his employers that he did not want to sign it and extend his day at the Emirates Stadium.

Indeed, he has been able to use the best online casinos USA has to offer, as he has had to sit on the bench or at home and watch the team get on with things on the pitch, rather than be involved as much as he likes. This is thought to be his main motivation for leaving and not for financial means.

Naturally, the 22-year-old wants to be playing more football as his career progresses, but with just two cup outings in the Carabao Cup and none in the Premier League, it would be hard to argue with his reasoning, despite the fact that Mikel Arteta wants to keep him around.

Throughout his Arsenal career, Nketiah has managed to make just 67 first-team appearances, in which he has managed to score a total of 15 goals.

Unsurprisingly, there are a number of clubs that are thought to be snooping around for his signature, with Borussia Monchengladbach and Nice both understood to be considering a move for the player.

Crystal Palace did come close to signing him last year, although that move had broken down. Whether they decide to make another move for him this winter or in the summer remains to be seen. You might want to enjoy jeux de casino en ligne whilst we wait and see what happens.

There is a chance that he will get an opportunity to prove himself at the Gunners in the next few months, though, especially with the Africa Cup of Nations coming up and being participated in in January.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be required by Gabon for the tournament, thus leaving a spot available for Nketiah to try and force himself into Arteta’s reckoning.

However, with individuals such as Alexandre Lacazette, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe all ahead of him, it could be a rather difficult fight and one that may not provide the rewards he would like.
